<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a host apparatus that can achieve a high writing speed. <P>SOLUTION: The host apparatus 1 includes an application 2 for performing predetermined programmed operations and issuing a write function call. A management system 3 has the function of allocating unit areas divided on a memory area sequentially as writing areas for storing write data, uses management units a natural number times as large as the unit areas as allocated location decision units, and upon the write function call, allocates the management units as the writing areas in order of writing speed achievable in the management units.
