<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical junction block whose alignment and optical coupling are easy and can be performed without expensive devices. <P>SOLUTION: The optical junction block 21 is constituted by providing an optical waveguide member 22, a cabinet 23, a plurality of connectors 24, and a shutter 25. The optical waveguide member 22 has a plurality of optical waveguides 26 and is stored in the cabinet 23. The plurality of connectors 24 are removably provided to a connector mounting part 34 of the cabinet 23. The connector 24 is constituted by providing a sleeve 54a for optical axis alignment and hood parts 67, 71 while striding over the cabinet 23 and the optical waveguide 26 member. A protrusion or a pin-shape member is provided on one side of the optical waveguide 26 member and the sleeve 54a for optical axis alignment, and a recess or a through-hole for attaching fixation is provided on the other side thereof. The ends of the optical waveguides 26 of the optical waveguide member 22 and ends of the respective optical communication paths are optically coupled to each other in aligned states via the connectors 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
