RECORDER AND PROGRAM THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a recorder capable of decoding remaining encrypted data without any problem and suppressing the degradation of encoding efficiency even when a part of encrypted data of an encoded data group generated by encrypting a video image is eliminated according to the instructions though the instruction such as an elimination instruction and an importance change instruction to a part of a video can be performed with comparatively short time as a unit, for example.

SOLUTION: The recorder 1 is provided with: an encryption part 13 which encrypts images included in each GOP by encrypting them by an intra encryption system or an inter encryption system to record them in a memory part 11; an importance setting part 22 which associates importance of the encrypted data of each image with the encrypted data to record the importance in the memory part 11 according to importance change instructions of each image; and an encryption control part 31 which controls the encryption part 13 so as to encrypt an image immediately after detection of transition of the importance as an image at the head of the GOP.
