PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide desired cooling efficiency, while forming an oil cooling system of an air-cooled engine as a simple structure. SOLUTION: This oil cooling system of the air-cooled engine has a cooling unit 51 composed of a baseplate 55 installed in a crankcase and a superposing plate 56 installed by butting against this baseplate. The baseplate 55 is formed with an inflow port 61a for allowing engine oil delivered from an oil pump to flow in, a flowing-out outflow groove 62a, and a passage groove 63a for communicating the inflow port 61a with the outflow groove 62a. The superposing plate 56 is formed with an inflow groove opposed to the inflow port 61a, an outflow port 62b opposed to the outflow groove 62a, and a passage groove opposed to the passage groove 63a and forming an oil passage.
