PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat for a vehicle allowing easy mounting of a damper and a method for mounting the damper on the seat, in the seat for the vehicle provided with the damper to secure riding comfort. SOLUTION: This seat is provided with the damper 30 between a bottom plate 10 and a vehicle body. The damper 30 is provided with a protrusion part 33 locked in a mounting hole 40 provided in the bottom plate 10 and a main body part 31 located between the bottom plate 10 and the vehicle body. The mounting hole 40 provided in the bottom plate 10 is provided with a latch part 41 of the protrusion part 33 and a guiding part 42 in pressure contact with the protrusion part 33 to guide the protrusion part 33 to the mounting hole 40.
