<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent abrupt heat generation of a cell under abnormal conditions such as a voltage drop inside the cell or an internal short-circuit. <P>SOLUTION: A collector-exposed-part of a positive electrode and that of a negative electrode are provided at respective winding ends of the positive electrode and the negative electrode, at which the positive electrode and the negative electrode are non-coated with a positive electrode active material or negative electrode active material, the collector-exposed-parts having such a width as to cover the outermost periphery of a cell element to an extent of one or more turns.
