PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely write data in a storage medium without any interruption. SOLUTION: This composite storage devise is provided with a storage medium having a first data area, a nonvolatile storage medium having a second data area and a table managing the first data area and the second data area integrally, an interface part for connecting a host apparatus, a writing part searching a free cluster based on an identification information table for writing data in the storage medium or the nonvolatile storage medium corresponding to the searched free cluster in writing data fed from the host apparatus via the interface part in the storage medium or the nonvolatile storage medium, a control part controlling the writing part, and a sensor detecting environmental information. The control part controls the writing part so that the writing destination of the data fed from the host apparatus via the interface part is changed from the recording medium to the nonvolatile storage medium or from the nonvolatile storage medium to the recording medium based on the environmental information detected by the sensor.
