PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain frequent treading by banning an automatic braking state under a specific condition at the time of stopping a vehicle. SOLUTION: This brake controlling device automatically actuates a brake into a braking state when a vehicle stops. The device comprises traveling environment estimation means for estimating whether the vehicle is under a traveling environment condition that stop and start are frequently repeated such as in jam traveling. When the traveling environment estimation means estimates the condition as the traveling environment condition for frequently repeating stop and start, automatic brake actuation is banned at the time of stopping the vehicle.
