A connection mechanism capable of storing connection members in at least a specified state and a mobile terminal having the connection mechanism. In the connection mechanism openably connecting a first casing to a second casing so as to be closed in a closed state where they are stacked on each other and to be opened in an open state where they are opened from the closed state in a double-spread state, opening parts are formed at the connection side of the first casing and the connection side of the second casing. Also, one end of the connection member connecting the first casing to the second casing is fitted into the opening part of the first casing so as to be advanced and retreated, and the other end of the connection member is fitted into the opening part of the second casing so as to be advanced and retreated.
