PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical access assembly capable of directly visualizing a body cavity while inserted into a tissue of a human body.
SOLUTION: The optical access device comprises a sleeve with closed proximal and distal ends, and a translucent window. The sleeve is for receiving a surgical instrument and prescribing the longitudinal axis. The translucent window is attached to the sleeve and formed in such a size as to separate the tissue. The transparent window is attached movably between a first position and a second position. At the first position, the translucent window is approximately parallel to the longitudinal axis of the sleeve; and at the second position, the translucent window is displaced in the radial direction from the longitudinal axis. With this structure, the distal end of the sleeve is exposed to allow the passage of the surgical instrument.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
