<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical waveguide unit which efficiently transmits optical signals and can be manufactured at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The optical waveguide unit 1 has an optical element 50 as a transmission side and a reception side of signal light, installed on an optical waveguide substrate 10 having a core layer 12 and cladding layers 11 and 13. The optical waveguide substrate 10 has a mirror part 31 reflecting the signal light, formed in the core layer 12, by pressing a stamp member 20 against the optical waveguide substrate 10 from the installation side of the optical element 50 and also has a substrate guide part 32 for positioning the optical element 50 formed in the cladding layer 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
