摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine decrease of a battery, on the basis of a residual charged quantity of the battery necessary for returning to charging facilities. SOLUTION: A mobile robot comprises a communication section for communicating with a remote monitoring canter, a battery for supplying power to respective sections, a residual quantity detecting section for detecting the residual quantity of the battery, a position recognition section for recognizing an own present position, a memory section for storing a reference position set in environment, a route searching section for searching a moving route, from the present position to a reference position, a movement battery quantity calculating section for calculating the quantity of a battery required for the movement of a route searched by the route search section, and a residual quantity warning section for transmitting a battery warning signal, from the communication section when the difference between the residual quantity of the battery detected by the residual quantity detecting section and a quantity of a battery required to move to the reference position becomes designated threshold or smaller.
