<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain improvement of entire antenna characteristics of a sliding type portable telephone set by switching antennas to be used, respectively in the states of opening and closing the portable telephone set. <P>SOLUTION: An upper casing substrate 11 comprising an antenna changeover switch 15 for switching antennas to be used, respectively in open and closed states is provided at an upper casing side of this portable telephone set, and a lower casing substrate 12 comprising a transmitting/receiving circuit is provided at a lower casing side thereof. In the closed state, the antenna changeover switch 15 connects an antenna element 14 to the transmitting/receiving circuit provided at the side of the lower casing substrate 12. In the open state, the antenna changeover switch connects a substrate dipole antenna formed by electrically connecting the upper casing substrate 11 and the lower casing substrate 12 to the transmitting/receiving circuit. Thus, optimal antennas can be used, respectively in the state of opening and closing the portable telephone set and improvement in antenna characteristics can be attained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
