METHOD OF MANUFACTURE FOR COLD CATHODE DISCHARGE TUBE AND COLD CATHODE DISCHARGE TUBE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacture for the cold cathode discharge tube and a cold cathode discharge tube suppressing rising of cost due to a complicated operation and preventing starting failure due to impure gas remaining inside and occurrence of a snaking phenomenon. SOLUTION: A cylindrical glass bulb 2 with a phosphor coating 1 formed on its inner periphery surface and a pair of electrodes 3 and 3 which are facing each other with specified spacing in between are provided in the method of manufacture for the cold cathode discharge tube. Both ends of the glass bulb 2 are sealed and noble gas and mercury are sealed in the glass bulb 2. After the noble gas and the mercury are sealed in the glass bulb 2 installed in the pair of electrodes 3 and 3, an aging process is provided turning off the light after lighting by supplying power to the pair of electrodes 3 and 3 at least two times or more.
