PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory check device capable of reducing a time required for a memory check by a CPU, and certainly detecting a fault in an address bus or a data bus, a fault by memory installation or the like. SOLUTION: In this memory check device 4, check data are read to check a data-rewritable memory after writing the check data in the memory. The memory check device 4 has: a random numerical value generation means 5 generating a random numerical value; a random numerical value acquisition means 6 acquiring the numerical value generated from the random numerical value generation means 5 by prescribed bits; a writing means 7 writing the numerical value acquired by the random numerical value acquisition means 6 in the memory 2 as the check data; a set/reset means 8 resetting the random numerical value generation means 5 after writing completion to the memory; and a comparison means 10 comparing the numerical value newly generated by the random numerical value generation means after the reset and the numerical value read from the memory.
