PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate camera motion and depth distribution of an image stably for general scenes by estimating turning motion of a camera. SOLUTION: N feature points Pn selected from a read image F1 and a position Qn in an image F2 are detected, and coordinate values of the feature points Pn and the Qn are obtained. Using the Pn and the Qn, a cameras turning momentum from capturing the image F1 until capturing the image F2 is estimated. From the position of the camera capturing the image F1, positions Rn of the N feature points on the image when the camera is turned by turning momentum stored in the storage means are calculated, coordinate values of the Rn and Qn are obtained, and the depth distribution for dots on the object corresponding to the feature points Qn of the image F2 is calculated.
