<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin light guide body for a linear and planar light source which has a uniform luminous distribution, and a light source device using the same. <P>SOLUTION: In the light guide body, a plurality of light guide paths 13 are installed at intervals in branch shape along the longitudinal direction at the side face of a light pipe 12 of which at one end face a point light source is connected, and the plurality of light guide paths become a one-body sheet shape part 14 at the emitting side, and further, a reflecting means or a light diffusion means to emit the propagation light from the surface of the sheet-shape part is installed at the sheet-shape part.
