<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a flexible board of which the strength is enhanced and shielding effects is heightened by adding a part to be soldered to the rear end side of a metal shell, in addition to both its sides. <P>SOLUTION: In this flexible board 10 for the connector, the contact part 44 of a contact 15 is made to face a board-receiving cavity 13, formed jointly by an insulating housing 22 and the metal shell 23 and disposed in it, and the terminal part 43 of the inserted flexible board 12 is elastically brought into contact with the contact part 44. Both ends of the metal shell 23, other than an insertion opening for the flexible board 12 to be inserted in the board accepting cavity 13, are bent to form stationary pieces 29, and its rear-end part is bent to form a reinforcement piece 32. The end parts of these stationary pieces 29 and the reinforcement piece 32 are soldered to the board 11 to be connected. A terminal piece part 39, connected by being soldered to the board to be connected, is formed in the contact 15, and the terminal piece part 39 is disposed on the insertion opening side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
