<p>PURPOSE: Provided is a composition for an environmental-friendly container, which is a complete substitute for conventional non-degradable disposable styrofoam containers in terms of functions and utilities, and has improved physical properties. CONSTITUTION: The composition for a biodegradable container comprises starch, a binder and a physical property reinforcing agent, and further comprises at least one component selected from the group consisting of a reactive agent, a filler, a foaming aid, a softening agent, a plasticizer, a binder/physical property reinforcing agent, a releasing agent, a moisturizing agent and a hydrophobicity imparting agent. In a method for manufacturing a biodegradable container, a reactive agent for donating at least hydrophobic functional groups or active functional groups, or a reactive agent for crosslinking starch molecules among themselves or for crosslinking between starch and side materials is mixed with starch as a base material, and the mixture is reacted while the container is formed.</p> |
