An apparatus for displaying an operation state of a ship is provided to measure the steering angle of the ship by mounting a variable resistance to a rudder controlling the proceeding direction of the ship. An apparatus for displaying an operation state of a ship includes a variable resistance section(10), an adjustment section(20), a microprocessor(30), and a display section(40). The variable resistance section converts the variable resistance value according to the rotation of a steering rudder to a signal. The adjustment section compares the variable resistance value with a reference current value and outputs a compared resistance value. The microprocessor converts the compared resistance value into data by stages. The display section displays the rotation angle according to the compared resistance value output through the microprocessor.
