PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-profile electric double layer capacitor excellent in a stability when laid on a flat surface. SOLUTION: The electric double layer capacitor comprises a pair of polarizable electrodes facing each other sandwiching a separator, and an electrode terminal plate and a facing film arranged on the outer side of a laminated cell with a unit cell comprising a gasket arranged in a periphery of a collecting body and the polarizable electrode or the unit cell laminated. The facing film 18 having a molded concave-shape with a molding process provided on an upper side of an outside main surface of the electric double layer capacitor and the tabular facing film 15 without a forming process provided on a bottom side of the main surface are used in combination to take out three or more electrode terminals 12, 13 with a part of terminal plates 14, 17 taken out from the side of the bottom of the main surface, at least from two sides or more.
