PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable which effectively prevents damage by insects such as disconnection caused by oviposition by a cicada to meet increasing demands for indoor cables and drop cables and further has excellent handleability. SOLUTION: An internal optical fiber cable is constituted by arranging tension members on both sides of one or more coated optical fibers and covering the optical fibers and tension members together with a rectangularly-sectioned sheath, the outer circumference of the internal optical fiber cable is covered with an outer-layer resin coating, and notches are formed in the lengthwise direction of the outer circumference of the outer-layer resin coating.
