PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized, high performance zoom lens suitable for an electronic imaging device having high pixels. SOLUTION: The zoom lens is composed of a first lens group G1 having negative refracting power, a second lens group G2 having positive refracting power, and a third lens group G3 having positive refracting power in this order from the object side along an optical axis. When power is varied from the wide angle end to the telephoto end, the first lens group G1 and the second lens group G2 move so that an interval between the first lens group G1 and the second lens group G2 decreases whereas an interval between the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3 increases. In the zoom lens, the second lens group G2 is composed of two or more positive lenses and one negative lens. At least one of the positive lenses and the negative lens of the second lens group 2 satisfy a predetermined conditional expression. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
