PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chest protector for a catcher, for which weight is reduced and a rebound rate is low so as to immediately grab a ball and shift to the following pitching action when the catcher makes a mistake in catching and the ball hits the chest protector and an impact acceleration is reduced so as to sufficiently protect the catcher. SOLUTION: For the chest protector for the catcher, EVA VN600 is used as a shock absorbing material at a chest part and a shoulder part and the rebound rate is set to≥4% and≤15%.
