A vehicle steering for motor vehicles with a steering handle (1) operated by a driver is disclosed, which may be operationally connected to steerable vehicle wheels to define a travelling direction. The vehicle steering comprises a hydraulic steering cylinder (19), with two directions of action and a hydraulic pressure source (12) which pressurizes a control valve (15) with a hydraulic pressure. The control valve (15) controls the amount of hydraulic pressure provided to the steering cylinder (19) and defines the direction of action thereof. The control valve (15) is an electric servo driven gate valve. The control valve comprises a rotational/translational gearbox (32), in order to adjust a control gate (34) of the control valve (15) in translation.
