<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent corrosion of an exhaust turbocharger 2 and deterioration of component of recirculation exhaust gas with a simple structure in an internal combustion engine gasifying fuel for reduction and supplying the same to an exhaust emission control catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: A gasification chamber 5 to which fuel is supplied is provided in a part of an exhaust manifold 1. The gasification chamber 5 and a downstream side part of the exhaust turbocharger 2 of an intermediate exhaust pipe 3 are connected by a bypass passage 6. Fuel is injected to the gasified chamber 5 from a injection nozzle 8. Fuel is gasified in the gasification chamber 5 and is supplied to a purification device (catalyst) without passing through the exhaust turbocharger 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
