PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an error correcting communication method to transmit a data packet in a network communication system. SOLUTION: This invention provides an error correcting communication protocol installed in the network communication system. The protocol of this invention provides a packet sent to single or a plurality of end points such as a broadcast packet for error correcting transmission. According to the protocol of this invention, each transmission end point separates a packet to be transmitted such as a data packet relating to the traffic of its own to other queue. Until only the packet at the head of one queue is transmitted and a transmission end signal is generated, other packets are not transmitted. Only one incomplete transmission from an optional transmission end point exists for an optional time. When no receiver acknowledgement denoting success of reception is received, the packet is left at the head of the queue, the queue is brought into a 'retrial pending' state and a 'retrial pending' timer with a short setting time is started.
