PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphate treatment method and an electrodeposition coating treatment method where, in phosphate treatment and the subsequent electrodeposition coating treatment to an automobile body in which a bonnet made of an aluminum alloy is connected to a body made of steel, a phosphate film can be uniformly formed on the whole of the body including the aluminum part without regulating the electric resistance of a bonnet hinge and without modifying treatment equipment, and further, electrodeposition coating can be continuously performed as it is. SOLUTION: One edge side of a bonnet 12 made of an aluminum alloy is connected to a body 11 made of steel in an insulated state, on the other hand, phosphate treatment is performed in a state where a connection tool 10 composed of an aluminum based material is interposed between the other edge part of the bonnet 12 and the body 11 made of steel, and thereafter, the body after the phosphate treatment is subjected to electrodeposition coating as it is.
