PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for horizontally burying section steels in the ground efficiently with a high precision and low propulsion forces, and low vibrations and noises, so as to support the ground and prevent the collapse of the upper ground. SOLUTION: A screw auger provided with a cutter excavates the ground to propel and bury a tubular component in the ground. Then the rear end of the tubular component is connected with the leading end of a leading section steel via a connection component, and they are propelled as a whole. Next, the rear end of this leading section steel is welded with the leading end of a following section steel. By repeating this process, a row of plural section steels connected together are buried in the ground from a starting pit to a target pit. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
