<p>The arm is made as a single piece. It is equipped with folded rebates for support and fastening. These provide for assembly with components of a canopy system. The arm is made from sheet metal, which is cut- or stamped-out, the folds (2, 3, 4) being made by a bending process. Two such arms with mirror-symmetry are screwed together, joining them in sandwich configuration to form a support arm unit. They are alternatively riveted together with provision for screws only in positions where novel holders are later attached. The support arm is equipped with holders for known roof coverings, and holders for conventional stabilizing bars. The holders are single-piece and are clamped using nuts and bolts to the support arm. They are held between the support arms of a support arm unit. With loosened screws, the holders may be pushed into position, allowing the covering to be fastened and clamped in position, secure against sliding. A slot penetration in the holder form a mounting for the covering and a further slot is used for fastening to the arm. The slots are continued to the outer limits of the holder shape and are set at right angles. The holder is single-piece and is clamped to the arm using nuts and bolts. It may be clamped between arms of a unit. It is pushed into place, allowing alignment of the stabilizer bars. The holder has a slot for fastening to the arm, and a circular hole for a stabilizing bar. It includes a threaded bore for a locking screw.</p> |
