Cell separation method using hydrophobic solid supports

Provided is a method of separating cells or viruses using a hydrophobic solid support, including contacting a solution containing cells or viruses with a hydrophobic solid support having a water contact angle between 70 and 90 degrees. By simply allowing cells or viruses to be adsorbed to a hydrophobic solid substrate, cells or viruses can be separated. Thus, the cell or virus separation efficiency can be rapidly and simply increased.
