<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting thickness adjuster of a root vegetable foliage-treating apparatus, which can quickly and accurately be adjusted only by rotating a knife adjust and a differential motion-adjusting handle with a hand, can thereby briskly correspond to conditions in a field, and can exhibit effects such as the shortening of labor time and a large economical effect due to the increase of yields. <P>SOLUTION: A distance between a feeler wheel and a cutting blade can quickly be adjusted by multi-actions comprising the shortening of a rear rod screw and the insertion of the tip portion of a stopper pin into the groove of the knife adjust to stop the rotation by the rotation of a knife adjust. A handle-having screw threadedly engaged with a front end shaft orthogonally connected to a front rod screw is rotated to slide in a longitudinally long hole formed in a rear machine frame.
