An air conditioner is provided to prevent the front grille from making noise by smoothly moving the front grille with the connection member and guiding the front grille to be opened and shut by the support and guide members. An air conditioner containing a front grille(20) combined at a front panel(11) comprises a connection apparatus(30) rotatably connecting the upper part of the front grille to the front panel; and a grille support apparatus(40) supporting the front grille in the opened condition. The grille supporting apparatus contains a support lever(41) whose one end is rotatably combined at the front grille and other end is arranged with a hanging projection(42), and a guide member(45) arranged at the front panel and mounted with a guide groove(46) guiding the movement of the hanging projection when the front grille is opened. The guide groove contains a hanging unit(47) where the hanging projection is hung in the opened condition of the front grille.
