The invention relates to a table or workbench covering, including a first electrically conductive layer with a resistivity in the range of 5x10 6.OMEGA.cm to 5x10 9 .OMEGA.2cm and a second electrically conductive layer with a resistivity in the range o f 5x10 4 .OMEGA.cm to 5x10 7 .OMEGA.cm, whereby the layers consist of rubber mixtures which includ e antistatics and/or electrically conductive particles, are calendared together and connected by vulcanization, and have a sulfate content extractable with deionized water o f <100 microgram/cm2.
