PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink cartridge with no leakage of ink even when an impact or a vibration is applied. SOLUTION: The ink cartridge 21 comprises an ink storing room 24 for storing the ink 23, an ink feeding part 26 for feeding the ink 23 to a recording head, and an open air introducing part 31 for introducing an open air into the ink storing room 24 in accordance with the change in pressure of the ink storing room 24 accompanied with consumption of the ink. The open air introducing part 31 is provided with two valves which are a primary valve 33 for opening and closing a primary introducing opening 32 and a secondary valve 52 for opening and closing a secondary introducing opening 51. As the primary valve 33 and the secondary valve 52 are stored in a main body 22, there exists no possibility of opening the valves carelessly. In addition, even when the secondary valve 52 is opened by applying the impact or the vibration and the ink 23 flows out to the open air introducing part 31, leakage to the outside can be prevented by the primary valve 33.
