PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display device in which discharge is stably generated between an address electrode and a scanning electrode in an address period without being influenced by temperature. SOLUTION: The plasma display device comprises: a temperature detection part (40) for detecting temperature; a scanning electrode (Y1) to which a scanning pulse for selection within an address period is applied; an address electrode (A1) to which an address pulse is applied in accordance with the scanning pulse to select the light emission or non-emission of a display cell; and a scanning electrode drive circuit (5) for supplying voltage to the scanning electrode in accordance with the detected temperature. The scanning electrode drive circuit changes the voltage of the scanning electrode which is obtained during no application of a scanning pulse in an address period in accordance with the detected temperature without changing the amplitude of the scanning pulse.
