PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming linear decoration comprising selecting material for linear decoration, and making the shape of the linear decoration distinguish so as to form the linear decoration impressive. SOLUTION: The linear decoration 60 is formed as follows: putting stitches formed by vertically and alternatively bringing single or a plurality of continuous linear seam(s) 55a, 55a facing to each other via one oblique seam 55b striding a woolen yarn 54, on a fabric 50 so as to fix the woolen yarn 54 to the fabric 50. The oblique seam 55b has an inclination toward a direction almost orthogonalized toward a direction along which the linear decoration 60 is formed. The stitch may be put using a sawing machine 56 provided with a guide member 53 supplying the woolen yarn 54 just before the sewing position for the knitting wool 54. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
