PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a petroleum resin composition having high adhesiveness, good color tone, and improved odor; and an adhesive composition containing the petroleum resin composition and its production method. SOLUTION: The petroleum resin composition contains a petroleum-resin-derived non-hydrogenated hydrocarbon resin. When the resin composition is heated at 150°C for 30 min, the concentration of an aldehyde in a gas is 15 ppm or lower and that of an acid is 5 ppm or lower. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
