The electrical charging unit is used with small battery cells [4], eg AA and AAA types that are inserted into loading slots formed in the base [2]. The cover [3] is hinged and when closed the battery contacts are engaged and connected to the electronic charging circuit. The batteries are visible through slots in the cover.
