<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a receptor or its analog from a DNA sequence encoding a modified low-density lipoprotein receptor of a vascular endothelial cell and an antibody against the receptor. <P>SOLUTION: A specific DNA sequence encoding a modified low-density lipoprotein receptor of a mammalian vascular endothelial cell is expressed in a recombinant transcription unit containing an inducible control element derived from a virus operon to obtain a protein composition containing its analog.
