MOVING IMAGE DATA EDIT AND TRANSMISSION APPARATUS AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of bringing efficiency to an edit and transmission processing of a moving picture file.

SOLUTION: An edit means 12 generates an edit configuration data file 15 for particularizing a start position and an end position of each moving picture source on the basis of frame order information and edits the data file 15. In the case of transmitting moving picture data, a group information particularizing means 17 particularizes corresponding group information on the basis of the start position and the end position of each source in the edit configuration data file 15. A transmission means 16 reads moving picture data from group data corresponding to the moving picture data file 4 according to the start position and the end position of each source on the basis of the particularized group information, decodes the moving picture data and transmits the decoded moving picture data. The decoded moving picture data are given to an encoder/transmitter, from which the data are broadcast.
