PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver capable of performing the activation processing of an application corresponding to using conditions while reducing manual operations by a user. SOLUTION: The broadcast receiver is provided with an application weighting data base 19 storing a data table indicating the correspondence relation of a category, the using conditions, and the application; reads a plurality of pertinent applications from the application weighting data base 19, on the basis of the using conditions judged in a program content condition analysis part 16; a receiver condition analyzer 21 and a host condition analyzer 22; and simultaneously displays the plurality of applications on the display screen of a display 15.
