PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an influence of noise components without providing another member in a remote commander for Karaoke. SOLUTION: A Karaoke system monitors a cycle of an information signal from a remote control terminal, identifies information indicated by its cycle components, however, when a signal level changes before a period in which the information signal should originally change by the noise components, there is a possibility of judging the period as short one and making mistakes in identifying the information indicated by the periodic components. In monitoring of the period, however, when the signal level of the information signal is judged to change before a period in which the signal level should originally change (s214: No), even when a noise signal is superposed and the signal level changes before the period in which the signal level should originally change, the influence of such a noise signal is reduced and information is properly identified without providing another member, since the monitoring is continued by software processing (s216-s206).
