The terminal block includes cross-terminal bridges arranged close to each other in the bridging paths (10,11). Each cross-terminal bridge has an insulated head rail that has a plug-in tongue portion encased in a half-liner insulator. U-shaped clamps (19) are used for connecting the tongue portions of the insulated head rails towards the sidewalls (20,21) of the bridging paths. The tongue portions are formed with grooves to which the projections of an insulating covering are engaged to couple the insulating covering to the insulated head rail.
