<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for simply detecting monobase mutated genetic polymorphisms in the exon 5 and exon 4 of CYP2C19. <P>SOLUTION: This method for detecting a human cytochrome P450 2C19 genetic polymorphism exiting in a specimen comprises examining the cytochrome P450 2C19 genetic polymorphism with at least one of oligonucleotides containing the continuous 15 to 35 bases of a base sequence represented by a specific sequence as a primer.
