<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display, for installation of printer driver, only a customized printer driver as an object of installation to a user. <P>SOLUTION: The information processing method for customizing a device driver for controlling a printer by property setting comprises storing information for identifying a device driver corresponding to the device driver that is an object of customization and document property setting or device property setting for customizing the device driver in a storage area, and forming a customized driver for the device driver based on the document property setting or device property setting; and writing, for identifying the formed customer driver, information for identifying the device driver stored in the storage area in a model name storage area (list section) of an INF file describing installation information of device drivers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
