<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical network system capable of realizing a QoS (Quality of Service) in an optical transmission level by attaining a path-provisioning considering transmission line quality information. <P>SOLUTION: A network management server 7 includes an optical path switching control function, provisioning function and the like. Each of OXC 1, 2 includes a function for switching routing of the optical path based on information from the network management server 7. Each of WDM 3-6 includes a function for monitoring a code error rate in an inputted optical signal and a function for sending out, as an electrical output, information of the monitored code error rate. A control network 8 includes a function for transmitting to the network management server 7 the information of the code error rate sent from the WDM 3-6 and transmitting a control signal from the network management server 7 to the OXC 1, 2. An optical transmission line 9 includes a function for connecting the confronted WDM 3, 5 to transmit an optical signal.
