<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize a driving force change of causing an engine speed change in releasing operation, when performing releasing operation of a lockup mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: This hydrostatic continuously variable transmission has a closed circuit C for connecting a plunger pump 8 and a plunger motor 9 by a high pressure passage 16 and a low pressure passage 17; and changes and transmits an input rotating speed of the plunger pump 8 as output rotation of the plunger motor 9 by variably controlling at least one capacity of the plunger pump 8 and the plunger motor 9. In this case, the lockup mechanism 24 is arranged for reducing a rotating speed difference between an input drum 1 and an output shaft 2, and the capacity of the plunger motor 9 is controlled so that an engine speed before releasing the lockup mechanism and the engine speed after releasing the lockup mechanism substantially become the same before releasing operation of this lockup mechanism 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
