<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary aeration device alternative to a mechanical aeration device which dispenses with a power source and air piping when the mechanical aeration device installed in a reaction tank of a sewage treatment plant etc. is maintained and inspected, and can carry out agitation and aeration so as to prevent the accumulation of activated sludge etc. in liquid to be treated inside the reaction tank during maintenance work, and a maintenance method of the mechanical aeration device. <P>SOLUTION: An aeration pipe 3 in which a number of aeration holes 3c are bored is installed at the bottom of a cylindrical auxiliary draft tube 2, and the discharge port 12a of an air feed pipe 12 is connected to a main pipe 3a in the center of the aeration pipe 3. A guide receiving part 4 engaged with and disengaged from the air feed pipe 12 and a guide pipe 13 is installed on the outer side surface of the auxiliary draft tube 2. The auxiliary aeration device 1 mainly comprising the auxiliary draft tube 2 is installed alternatively to replace the mechanical aeration device 10. When air is fed from the air feed pipe 12, the air is jetted from the aeration holes 3c into the auxiliary draft tube 2 to raise the liquid to be treated, which generates a flow of the liquid to be treated, in the reaction tank 11 to agitate the liquid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
