PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage system for achieving the improvement of the reading function by using data stored for the purpose of the prevention of data taint damage. SOLUTION: At the time of receiving an access request from a host device 1, a control part 21 checks whether or not it is a reading request. When it is the reading request, the control part 21 checks whether or not copy LU is present in a system. When the copy LU is present, the control part 21 refers to a difference table this time, and distributes and executes reading processing by using the HDD of the copy LU as the object of access when confirming that the read data are non-rewritten data from difference data.
